Rest turned into disease >>>> Summer common cold
Summer common cold.
Where do winter and off-season ARVI diseases, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis and pneumonia in summer come from?
Heat is always associated with more favorable living conditions for a person: there is no freezing, there are no epidemics of viral infections such as influenza, it seems that there is no reason to beware of the disease. But viruses and bacteria - those who like to settle in the upper respiratory tract and then penetrate into the bronchi and lungs, also love warmth and feel very comfortable during this period.
Our immunity does not like heat, which naturally begins to reduce its functions in the body. And a person in the heat loves to cool down. And this fork in the mismatching capabilities of the body and the desires of a person becomes the cause of the summer common cold.
When the immune system is weakened by the scorching rays of the sun, opportunistic organisms are always happy to penetrate accessible places. And hypothermia becomes an additional load, weakening the already reduced defenses of the body.
Oddly enough, it is in the summer that it is easiest to get hypothermia, because all the time you want to drink cold, eat cold food, sit in a cool draft, plunge into a cool pond. From these, at first glance, insignificant moments, the summer common cold begins.
And rest, accompanied by alcoholic libations, contributes to hypothermia to an even greater extent, since in a state of even slight alcoholic intoxication, provoking the expansion of blood vessels and rush of blood to all organs and tissues, a person cannot correctly assess the temperature of the environment - he becomes hot and needs additional cooling - air conditioner, fan, strong cool wind, cold bathing water.
So angina and acute respiratory infections are, in general, typical diseases for a hot climate.
There is also a moment of transition from a summer climate with a temperature regime of 40 degrees to a temperature regime of 25 degrees, which, with a sharp switch (flight from one area to another), feels like a cold one, and the body becomes ill.
In order not to cure a cold in the summer and not spend a rest with a high body temperature in a stuffy hospital room, you must:
- do not eat ice cream,
- do not drink icy drinks,
- do not plunge into water in a hot state,
- when changing from 40-degree heat to 25-degree heat, dress according to the sensations of the body, and not the accepted conventions.
It is extremely inconvenient to treat a common cold in the summer, since inhalations, warming up will not help to improve the condition, but will only add overheating to the existing body. It is better to switch to rinsing with antiseptics, immunomodulatory drugs and drinks at room temperature (after all, you will have to drink much more to remove disease-causing toxins from the body), and alcohol will not help in the treatment of bacterial and viral infections.
