Psychology >>>> Rigid personality type
Rigid personality type.
There are several conflict personality types, one of which is the rigid personality type. People of this type are characterized by excessive suspicion, distrust of the people around them. They are afraid to be deceived, "cornered", they always try to exercise discretion. This type of personality is often formed in childhood and adolescence against the background of the constant exactingness of parents and uncertainty in the correct fulfillment of their requirements (sometimes aggressively submitted). Fears for the correctness of the results give rise to internal distrust and lead to the fact that a person begins to demand confirmation of his significance.
The rigid character of a person causes him to strive to be the best in everything, the first, the leader, and insufficient recognition of his merits leads to internal tension and irritation.
A rigid personality is characterized by an overestimated self-esteem, which, if his opinion does not correspond to the opinion of others, causes grief, a bad mood in such a person, and severely wounds him. A person of a rigid personality type does not tolerate criticism and is not very critical of himself, but very critical of others. Usually, a conflict situation is generated by resentment over trifles against others, jokes towards such a person, his assumptions that he is underestimated in society. Being a participant in the conflict due to misunderstanding or rejection of the opponent's opinion, a rigid person himself suffers from aggression caused by the opponent and redirected to his address.
Painful increased resentment , distrust and arrogance sometimes complicate relationships with people of a rigid type, and the best way to avoid conflict with them is to interact not directly, but for example, through the transfer of documentation or through communication means. In relationships with people of a rigid type, it is worthwhile to carefully select topics for conversation and words to speak in their direction. It must be remembered that a rigid person can be sensitive to words even more than to actions from others. A poorly formulated thought or a recklessly thrown ambiguous phrase can cause a conflict with a rigid type of person.
