What protein do muscles need?
For bodybuilding enthusiasts, and for all those who are trying to increase muscle mass through sports activities, the sports industry produces a protein powder, which, according to manufacturers, contributes to the fastest growth of muscle tissue.
Many athletes, obsessed with quick results in increasing muscle mass, begin to take in unlimited quantities of protein powder, but in doing so they are detrimental to their health. What protein do muscles need?
Common homemade whey protein isn't very tasty. In addition, it is very different from industrial protein in that it is poorly soluble in water, and the cocktail from it does not have a uniform appetizing consistency. It's all about the production of a protein powder, to which flavors, sweeteners and flavor enhancers, as well as thickeners, are added to make it easy to use in cocktails.
All these additional components are not needed by the body. Moreover, they bring significant changes to health, because these are chemicals for the most part that are harmful to health. To enhance muscle growth, it is recommended to consume one and a half to two and a half grams of protein powder before or after training. But at the same time, athletes and fitness enthusiasts still manage to sit on a carbohydrate-free diet.
It is worth noting that the human body is very consistent in meeting its needs: first, it assimilates and consumes substances that are needed for energy, and only then only begins protein construction. In addition, proteins are needed not only for the structure of muscle tissue: they perform many other important functions in metabolic processes, where the body uses them in the first place.
As a result, a carbohydrate-free diet plus protein powder does not give the expected high results in a short period of time, but contribute to the development of various kinds of metabolic disorders.
The most correct thing, according to experts, adherents of healthy sports nutrition, is to maintain a nutritious diet high in meat, dairy dishes, eggs and cereals, legumes, nuts, vegetables and fruits, which replenish the body with a sufficient amount of energy drinks and proteins at the same time, and not provoke painful distortions in metabolic processes.
