Salt lamps in the interior.
The atmosphere in the home should have a beneficial effect on health. And, if you cannot visit useful procedures at the resort, then they can be organized at home. So the popular wellness procedure of halotherapy can be combined with interior decoration.
Home use salt lamps for creating an eco-atmosphere have become very attractive today. The advantages of such a lamp are that there is no need to go somewhere or leave in order to breathe salt vapor.
The salt crystals embedded in the lamp as a shade gradually evaporate under the action of the heating element and saturate the air with vapors useful for breathing. The lamp simulates a night light, which not only solves the problem of breathing, but also the need for additional lighting at night.
Salt crystals for salt lamps are mined in various places: Himalayan (pink) salt - in the mountains of Pakistan, white salt in salt caves in Poland, Russia, Ukraine. Pink salt contains a higher concentration of sodium chloride, but the smell is stronger with white salt. Under the influence of the heat of the heating element and the warm atmosphere, the salt crystal slowly melts, but the crystal in the lamp will not change its shape soon - years will pass.
Of course, none of the ions mentioned in the description of the lamp will appear when the salt is heated, because this requires an electric discharge to break the molecular lattice. But the effect of the lamp will be approximately the same as that experienced by a person who is on the coast of a salt reservoir: chlorine and iodine vapor, if the latter is present in the composition of the salt crystal. The larger the volume of the room, the larger the salt crystal in the lamp is needed.
Air disinfection, that is, the antibacterial effect of a salt lamp is equal to the disinfecting effect of an open package of table salt (none), even in spite of chlorine vapors floating in the atmosphere of the room - too low a concentration of chlorine will not be harmful to bacteria, therefore, as a preventive agent at the time the lamp is not suitable for respiratory infections; UV lamps are used for these purposes .
Salt lamps are installed near the head of the bed typically (on the floor or bedside table). A saline lamp can be used to decorate a writing or coffee table, a corner of a living room, furniture niches, low surfaces of a chest of drawers, fireplace shelves. The natural crystal of the lamp fits into any color scheme of the interior. Salt crystals in the form of a lampshade or imitating a hearth look incredibly beautiful in any interior, whether it be a provincial decor of a country house or a modern apartment in a European style.
The lamp will not bring much harm, since the concentration of vapors is quite low, but people suffering from asthma attacks, tuberculosis, respiratory or heart failure, individual intolerance to the components of the salt crystal vapors are not recommended to put the lamp in the bedroom.
