Cellulite - what is it?
Cellulite is not a disease, but a condition of subcutaneous adipose tissue that has changed its structure as a result of various kinds of disorders. Until the seventies, cellulite was not considered a problem, but was seen as a natural condition of the subcutaneous fat layer. The only drawback was considered to be the tuberosity of the skin, which gives the skin unevenness.
Cellulite begins to develop, contrary to popular belief, not after thirty - forty years, but much earlier at the age of 20-25. The causes of cellulite lie in disorders of the trophism of adipose tissue, hormonal changes, stagnation in the subcutaneous fat layer. In the fatty layer, partially or completely (depending on the stage of the process) capillary blood supply is lost, the elasticity of the interstitial septa of adipose tissue is disturbed, they coarse and scar, hence the altered appearance of the adipose tissue, which looks cellular, lumpy.
Additional fatty deposits, which do not carry any functional tasks, serve as material for the formation of cellulite. In this case, it does not matter if a thin person or a fat person has fat deposits.
How to prevent the appearance of cellulite:
- Lead an active lifestyle in terms of physical activity on various types of muscles;
- Try not to gain excess body weight;
- Massage problem areas (thighs, forearms, buttocks) to improve blood circulation;
- Monitor hormonal levels.
How to get rid of cellulite:
It is most likely that you will not be able to get rid of cellulite completely, since this is, in general, the natural state of subcutaneous adipose tissue.
But there are massage techniques in which lumps of adipose tissue are broken mechanically.
And also help to reduce the layers of cellulite procedures, heating the skin in the places of its formation. For these purposes, creams with a thermal effect are produced, physical exercises are performed in special compression suits that retain heat in problem areas (heating the subcutaneous layers to certain temperatures).
Methodical rubbing of problem areas to an increase in body temperature in these areas of the skin helps to part with cellulite.
Pumping up muscles plays an important role in getting rid of cellulite, because the fat layer is located above the layer of muscle tissue (precisely in those places where muscles are inactive as a result of ignoring physical activity). Regular training of various muscle groups will gradually "burn" excess body fat.
