Anal fissure.
A tear (rupture) of the mucous membrane in the anal area is called an anal fissure. This kind of tissue rupture has a length of no more than a few centimeters and is located in the longitudinal direction.
Signs of anal fissure:
- Pain during bowel movements,
- Crack bleeding determines a small amount of blood on the surface of the stool,
- Visible to the naked eye upon examination - it resembles an oval-shaped gap or hole with non-adjoining edges.
Reasons for ruptured anus:
- constipation (chronic and isolated),
- hemorrhoids,
- Coarse, poorly digested food,
- Trauma when scratching the anal mucosa due to itching,
- Anal trauma,
- Trauma during medical procedures,
- Trauma due to a foreign body entering the rectum.
An anal fissure is treatable (conservative or surgical, depending on the condition of the tissues and the chronicity of the process).
With conservative treatment, sedentary warm baths are used, applications with substances with a keratoplastic effect (sea buckthorn oil, St. John's wort oil, Aekol, Carotolinum, Сygerol, Solcoseryl ointment and other drugs and substances with a reparative effect). To prevent further injury to the anal mucosa, laxatives are taken. Pain symptoms are relieved with the help of antispasmodics and pain relievers in the form of suppositories and ointments.
The surgical route of treatment is chosen for extensive non-healing cracks.
