Health for a lifetime >>>> Brain fatigue - brain reboot
Brain fatigue - brain reboot.
Modern life is a stream of information that is updated at a rapid pace. To keep up with the times, a person involuntarily must intellectually strain to process the entire information flow, at least partially. Rapidly developing technologies force a person to constantly learn something new, learn to understand the field of technological innovations, even if he does not have special abilities in technical disciplines.
At some point, fatigue begins to develop, which makes a person feel the need to abandon everything, postpone the solution of the tasks for later, not delve into any subtleties of information plots. A superficial interest in the environment is the result of brain fatigue.
Indifference to information can resemble a depressive state when a person ceases to be interested in the life around him. And so that the fatigue of the brain does not develop into severe depression, it is necessary to give your body an intellectual respite.
What if the brain is tired? How to give the brain a rest, because its work is beyond our control?
- One of the factors of intellectual overload is multitasking, which distracts attention, reduces productivity, and exhaust the nervous system. In order to unload the brain intellectually, it is necessary to limit the number of problems to be solved in the time period. Learn to isolate from a large number of problems that are most valuable in a given period of time and only take on their solution, without switching to other problems.
- Pay attention only to information that is useful to you, do not be distracted by all the shocking news bulletins. Do not watch or read all news channels in a row - they duplicate information and waste your time reworking unnecessary content.
- Turn off gadgets while traveling and try to look at the surrounding landscapes so that the brain has the opportunity not only to deal with decisions and processing, but also to passively contemplate.
- Do not watch or listen to TV at the same time as other activities. The brain, simultaneously doing several things, very quickly spends energy resources, which leads to rapid fatigue.
- If it is not possible to complete the work entirely, divide it into cycles.
- Take 10-15-minute rest breaks once an hour (not for reading and watching a gadget, but for a walk, exercise and contemplation of the environment).
- Switch more often to the mode of "wandering" of the brain. The brain turns on this mode when contemplating works of art, examining natural objects, reading fiction. The "wandering" mode allows thoughts to dangle incoherently in your head, not fixing on anything (a state of thoughtlessness). The brain reboots at such moments, and after a few minutes of thoughtlessness it is again able to concentrate on work.
- Get into the habit of naps (30-60 minutes) - this is also a brain reboot mode.
- Do not keep all temporary information in memory, write it down in a notebook.
- Write down useful thoughts that come to mind or immediately implement them without transferring them to long-term memory.
A "refreshed" brain is the key to a long life without dementia.
