Organic food - what is it?
The very name of the products "organic" evokes thoughts about what other products are there if organic products are displayed in a separate food category?
Of course, in the daily diet of a person, to a greater extent, there are products in the production of which bio - chemical - physical technologies are actively involved. This means that the cultivation of food itself is based on the use of synthetic fertilizers, the product is purified with chemical reagents, and the shelf life of the food product is lengthened due to biochemical technologies.
Even when we grow food on our own land plot or farm, we still use technologies that kill weeds and pests, accelerate plant growth, give plants resistance to drought and disease, increase animal fertility, and protect livestock, poultry or fish from infectious diseases. That is, without noticing it, we introduce technologies that are far from the word "natural" into the production of our own products.
But in the phrase "organic food" is the meaning of the natural origin of the products, that is, without the participation of chemical fertilizers (only natural), without the participation of biological stimulants (only growth in natural climatic conditions or in greenhouses where climatic indicators imitate the natural environment), without treatment with pesticides, excess nitrate compounds and similar chemical compounds, without pharmaceutical hormonal additives.
You can always compensate for your own bad harvest in the beds by going to the store for similar products, and the failure of the harvest of products grown for sale without additional technological support is extremely difficult to replenish. For this reason, organic food has a higher price tag. This price determines the difficulty of growing organic products in an unstable climatic, ecological and biological environment.
Theoretically, an apple plucked in one's own garden is psychologically considered as a product of organic origin, although it may differ from an imported apple only in the technology of external processing of the skin to preserve its "lifespan", that is, the difference in the quality characteristics of apples can be approximately the same as that of a freshly picked one. and stale. But we do not know what technologies were used to grow the imported apple, and for this reason we suspect that such a fruit may contain in its composition chemical compounds (permitted by the technology of growing this product) that got into it, for example, from the soil.
Thus food products grown under the brand name "environmentally friendly", "biologically pure" or "organic" undergo appropriate certification, which implies that the technology of "natural" cultivation of these food products is monitored at all stages of their production. It is worth knowing that in the production of organic products and raw materials must also comply with the norms of "organic" origin.
This is not to say that organic food tastes better than those in whose production technology abounds: flavoring agents, flavor enhancers, color fixers and other "raisins". Our taste buds no longer respond to fresh food, and organic food often pretends to have a "weak" taste sensation. This food is natural - without synthetic flavors (seasonings or sauces), and to many it may seem tasteless.
In an effort to maintain health, it does not hurt to approach a simple, not burdened with unnecessary chemicals, diet, and enrich your diet with organic products as much as possible.
