Vitamin PP (nicotinic acid).
Vitamin PP belongs to the group of B vitamins - it is one of two forms of vitamin B3, which has other names: Niacin, nicotinic acid. Vitamin PP (nicotinic acid) is synthesized in plants and animals. Today the pharmaceutical industry is able to artificially synthesize niacin and turned this substance into a drug that prevents the development of many diseases associated with excess cholesterol formation, microcirculation disorders, metabolic disorders, dermatoses, nervous system disorders, sleep disorders, hepatobiliary system disorders, and dysfunction thyroid gland, inflammation of the mucous layers of the gastrointestinal tract (Crohn disease, colitis).
Once in the human body, nicotinic acid (Niacin) is converted to Nicotinamide (the second form of vitamin B3). In the body, small amounts of niacin are synthesized by the liver from tryptophan (an amino acid).
You can replenish the lack of nicotinic acid by consuming foods containing it or using niacin medications. Nicotinic acid is not destroyed by heat treatment and freezing.

Despite the fact that nicotinic acid is a vitamin, its pure consumption as a supplement to food cannot be arbitrary, but requires adherence to certain dosages prescribed by a doctor. This is due to the fact that nicotinic acid is more of a drug than just a useful food supplement, and its overdose or use against the background of certain diseases can have serious health consequences (bleeding, allergies, dizziness and headaches, lowering blood pressure, nausea , vomiting, collapse, fatty degeneration of the liver).
In the form of drugs, nicotinic acid (Niacin, Niacin) is available in the form of tablets and solutions for injection.
