How to get along with a cat?
Many people dream of settling a cat in their home, because according to the generally accepted opinion, this is the most convenient pet for the neighborhood and the most unpretentious. But how to get along with a cat, how to properly arrange cohabitation with an animal of this species, and what can you expect from such a neighborhood?
Cats are independent animals, they can live independently, they are not very demanding on the routine, but some breeds of cats require a lot of time from their owners to take care of, as these are "fur" creatures whose fur needs some hygiene. And although today there are many hairless cat breeds, but, nevertheless, their bodies, covered with specific skin, also require certain care skills.
If a meowing woolen ball appears in the house, you will have to spend time combing, combing and collecting wool from all household items with which the cat will come into contact. A hairless cat will oblige you to keep it in an environment that is not traumatic for its silky skin. Cats of this type are very sensitive to temperature conditions, and for bathing they need a special neutral shampoo. Hairless cats need additional insulation, so you will have to fork out for clothes, and not simple ones, but made of natural fibers, so as not to injure the delicate skin and cause allergies.
Cats are very cautious creatures. The room in which they are to live will be examined first. And do not try to impose on the animal its place from the very beginning. The cat gradually examines the entire territory, chooses a comfortable place for itself, and after she gets used to it, considers it safe, you can offer her a basket with bedding on which you would like the animal to lie.
Cats do not like a change of scenery, they get used to living quarters a little longer than dogs, so moving a basket or a house from place to place is useless.
Some objects in the house can initially irritate the cat, irritate her, awaken a sense of danger in her (for example, a vacuum cleaner, broom or mop). Noticing that it is the cat that is nervous, do not try to overcome the feeling of fear in it artificially - this will not lead to anything good, and the animal will remember that you scare him and stop trusting you.
Not all cats like to swim, so you should not impose bathing services on them, the cat is quite able to put itself in order, only animals with too long and thick hair need additional combing, since over time, the wool can turn into tangles in some places.
A cat in the house is a load on the usual daily routine. She needs to be given time for games and communication (affection). Not all cats require outdoor walks, but if you decide to walk with the animal, then take the animal on a leash, otherwise, frightened by a sudden movement or unusually loud noise, the cat may rush mindlessly into the nearest bushes or climb high on a tree, and you can get it from there. only with the help of the Ministry of Emergencies.
A cat is an animal that is supportive of other pets that live in its territory, but birds, fish and hamsters can become potential food over time, so keep other small pets in sheltered places that are not accessible to it.
