Autohemotherapy.
Autohemotherapy is one of the methods for correcting local immunity in a separate (local) part of the body. During autohemotherapy, the elements of cellular immunity, which are in their natural environment - blood, are transferred to the local area, where it is necessary to increase the concentration of immune agents to suppress the focus of the disease. The advantage of autohemotherapy in comparison with other immunocorrective drugs based on the blood of animals and humans is its safety, which is ensured by the fact that the blood is taken from the person himself and poured into him.
A categorical contraindication to autohemotherapy are infectious diseases (acute and chronic): bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic.
Other contraindications for autohemotherapy are:
- Blood diseases,
- Decreased hemoglobin,
- Violation of blood viscosity,
- Diabetes mellitus and other metabolic disorders,
- The presence of tumors,
- Pregnancy and lactation.
Most often, autohemotherapy is used to treat pustular infections, skin furunculosis, less often - for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of a non-purulent nature, stimulating regeneration processes with long-term non-healing wounds, ulcers, etc.
Autohemotherapy technique:
Blood is taken from the patient's vein in a volume of 2-10 ml. The blood volume can be increased gradually, starting at two milliliters. The collected blood volume is immediately injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly into the buttock. Instead of blood, you can enter its plasma, previously subjected to physical effects: ozonation, radiation. Blood plasma can be injected into areas close to the site of inflammation. Autohemotherapy is carried out in several sessions (from ten to fifteen). The expediency of the number of sessions depends on the doctor who is thinking over the tactics of treating the existing disease.
Side effects of autohemotherapy:
- Hematomas at the injection sites of blood or plasma,
- Swelling,
- Seals after injection,
- Temperature increase,
- Pain syndrome at the injection site.
Carrying out autohemotherapy requires sterility, therefore it is better to carry out it in a medical institution. The introduction of blood plasma requires special equipment, so it is not used in all medical institutions.
