Plasma lifting in cosmetology - what is it?
Plasma lifting in cosmetology is a procedure pioneered by medical autohemotherapy.
The essence of autohemotherapy is to take blood from a vein and inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly the patient's own blood. The blood taken from the patient is not processed in any way and is injected, as it is, deep into the muscle of the buttocks, or it can be pre-irradiated with ultraviolet light, treated with a laser, ozonized or subjected to other influences aimed at improving its biochemical properties. Autohemotherapy is a method of immunocorrection, because it is the bloodstream that is the place where cellular immunity can "unfold" . And by moving a dose of blood to problem areas, medicine seeks to create an increased concentration of cellular immunity factors in such a problem area.
In the procedure of plasma lifting, this property of blood is used, and such a kind of "transfusion" of blood is used to improve the regeneration of skin cells, subcutaneous layers and create conditions for the prevention of skin aging and getting rid of various kinds of pustular infections on the skin of the face. Unlike autohemotherapy, plasma-lifting does not use all the blood taken, but only its plasma (centrifuged blood), where the concentration of cellular immunity factors is higher. Plasmolifting is carried out in several sessions, which depends on the condition of the skin, the expected results and the age of the patient.
Contraindications to plasma lifting:
- chronic and acute infectious diseases (viral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic), which, when a portion of blood is transfused into a certain area, can bring infectious agents into this area;
- low hemoglobin levels;
- violations of blood flow;
- blood diseases;
- oncological diseases;
- autoimmune diseases;
- pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding.
Complications of plasma lifting:
- Swelling or bruising at the injection sites of blood plasma;
- Allergic reaction to blood;
- The appearance of seals at the sites of plasma injection, as a result of delayed resorption of the blood product.
