Hidden oral problems.
A clear toothache or swelling of the cheeks that drive us to the dentist is not all the inconvenience that the dentition can create. Sometimes, with obvious well-being in the oral cavity, problems can be randomly identified that for the time being do not make themselves felt, but begin to spoil life at the most inopportune moment (on vacation, on holidays, on the eve of a celebration).
Diseases of the teeth and oral cavity often develop asymptomatically, do not manifest themselves in any way until hypothermia (freezing) or overheating of the body (hot bath, sauna) occurs, immune responses decrease (after a protracted infectious disease), during a period of exhausting stress, that is, at the moment when the body's adaptive reserves are depleted.
One of the most common problems in the oral cavity, "emerging" unexpectedly - a cyst in the jaw bone tissue. A cyst is a bone loss (bone resorption) that results in a limited cavity filled with fluid (sometimes pus).
The second common problem is a granuloma at the apex of the tooth root. This is a resorption of bone tissue, but not in the thickness of the jawbone, but attached to the root canal (at the apex), where the inlet of the pulp (tooth nerve) is located.
The third problem of the oral cavity hidden from the eyes for a while is the periostitis of the jaw (purulent inflammation of the periosteum of the alveolar process).
The fourth dangerous problem of the oral cavity is neoplasms in soft tissues (mucous membrane of the alveolar processes and cheeks), in the thickness of the tongue, in the thickness of the bone tissue of the jaws. Neoplasms begin to develop with bone resorption and chronic trauma to the tissues of the oral cavity.
The fifth problem of the oral cavity, which proceeds imperceptibly to the eyes, is oral dysbiosis. Dysbiosis leads to the fact that pathogenic microorganisms colonize the tissues of the oral cavity and provoke various kinds of purulent processes in the structures of the oral cavity (teeth, mucous membrane, bone tissue of the alveolar processes).
Any of the listed diseases of the oral cavity can be both a prerequisite for another disease and its consequence.
