This diet is pleasant and not difficult to perform, it really helps to lose about weight in 22 pounds in total, it does not require nervous tension due to the lack of tasty food. Tomatoes in all their manifestations are easy to eat, have a calorie content of 20 kcal per 3.5 ounces of fruit and 25 kcal per 3.5 ounces of tomato juice. The only condition for the use of such a diet is the absence of salt, sugar, oil and spices - tomatoes must be an independent product, not enriched with any foreign substances, including preservatives, as happens in most factory juices and smoothies (ascorbic acid acts as a preservative).
Tomato mono-diet is contraindicated for people with a number of diseases of the digestive tract: increased enzymatic activity (in particular, increased acidity of gastric juice), gastritis, ulcers and erosion of the stomach and intestines, as well as the presence of the microorganism Helicobacter pylori in the lumen of the stomach (a laboratory analysis is needed for the presence or the absence of this type of bacteria in the digestive tract), after operations performed on the stomach or in any part of the intestine. In other cases, you can use a tomato mono-diet for weight loss or normalization of the digestive tract.
Tomatoes are among the vegetables rich in vitamin C, provitamin A, vitamin K, and many micronutrients. In addition to all other useful substances, tomato pulp contains pectin, which is good for the stomach, and seeds with fiber, which normalize and improve intestinal motility. For this reason, constipation or diarrhea from such a mono-diet can’t be expected, since the pulp of tomatoes is nutritious enough to support the body during a period of easing the load on fatty and carbohydrate foods. A number of tomato varieties contain no less sugar than many fruits and vegetables, which means that the brain will also receive its portion of light, but necessary carbohydrates for smooth operation. The fruits of yellow and black tomatoes, as well as red cherry tomatoes, are the richest in sugars. These types of tomatoes are suitable for those with a sweet tooth who can’t live a day without sweets, as it will need to be excluded from the diet for the duration of the tomato diet.
The proposed options for dishes for a tomato diet will allow you to maneuver food daily, avoiding monotony, which will have a beneficial effect on the psyche, which is difficult to adjust to restrictions on the consumption of your favorite and unhealthy dishes.
The most difficult tomato diet to perform one that is designed for only two days, but during this period of time you will have to refrain from eating all dishes, except for tomatoes in all their manifestations: raw (slices), baked, fried (without the participation of oil in a pan (slices), blanched (scalded in boiling water for 3-5 minutes and then with the peel removed), home-made tomato juice (without peel or with peel) - cooked in a blender, mixer or using a juicer, as well as through a meat grinder (juice only with pulp), mashed on a coarse grater peeled, fried, or blanched tomatoes, mashed to a puree. A clean diet of tomatoes is easier to tolerate when cooked, as some substances (particularly some of the natural ascorbic acid) are broken down, making the tomatoes less acidic.
Tomatoes can be steamed, but not for too long, so as not to completely destroy the entire composition of nutrients that are destroyed during heat treatment. Canned tomatoes are not suitable for such a diet due to the presence of salt, sugar and spices in them - only a pure natural product is needed for the weight loss effect. A two-day tomato mono-diet makes it possible to lose weight in 4.5 pounds in two days.
The second type of tomato diet does not apply to pure mono-diets, since in the diet all berries, fruits and vegetables, as well as greens are replaced with fresh tomatoes or tomato juice with pulp. In this diet, all dishes, except for tomatoes, are replaced with boiled or cooked in the oven (baked), only tomatoes without oil, salt, sugar and spices are used fresh. This diet lasts a week, then a break for a week and again a tomato diet for a week. According to this tomato diet, you can easily and naturally get rid of weight in 8-11 pounds in one month of the tomato regimen and not lose the result in the future.
The third version of the tomato diet has a time period of 10 days and conditions that are more difficult than in the second version, but such conditions for maintaining the tomato diet allow you not to starve and exclude harmful foods that the body is used to from eating. The diet involves eating only tomatoes instead of all berries, fruits and vegetables and herbs, but in company with other healthy foods so that it is not tiring to sit on only one plant food. The rules of such a diet include combinations of tomatoes and a certain set of food products: tomato and bread, tomato and cheese, tomato and fat-free cottage cheese, tomato and eggs (fried eggs, scrambled eggs, "poached egg", Hard-boiled egg). You can cut a salad of tomato and eggs (boiled or in the form of omelette strips). Tomato soup will help replace the first course in the lunch diet, but without excess sugar, salt and spices, that is, fresh tomato soup. Tomato meatballs in the company of minced chicken or turkey breast or the same poultry meat, but already in tomato sauce (with tomato sauce). Such a diet is kept for the third part of the month, then they switch to a normal diet for 10 days, followed by a ten-day tomato diet according to the third option. Within 10 days, the loss in weight is 8-11 pounds, but you should not think that a tomato diet (two days, a week or ten days) will allow you to keep the resulting weight in the future - this is a long-term nutritional change program, and a mono-diet of tomatoes will help learn the rules of nutrition, when a vegetable or fruit, berries and herbs make up the predominant volume in the total volume of the entire daily diet.
