Is pizza healthy?
In today's life, fast food helps those who do not have time to prepare complex meals. Fast food recipes at first glance seem to be not quite right in terms of healthy eating due to the presence of some ingredients that are considered useless or unhealthy foods in themselves. When it comes to pizza, the simplest recipe for its preparation comes to mind - with pieces of sausage. But pizza has a long history of life, which has turned this dish into a culinary masterpiece, in the creation of which you can participate and modify it to your own needs, without even the minimum skills in cooking. Whether pizza can be healthy depends on what set of products is used to make it.
From the point of view of usefulness, pizza is the closest “relative” of the casserole, which has always been considered a dietary dish. There is no big difference in the preparation of both dishes, except that the casserole has more layers of dough or just flour ingredients (pasta).
The principles of cooking pizza and casseroles remain the same - both dishes are made from food leftovers. The question of a healthy diet in both cases is reduced to a selection of ingredients that correspond to the current diet: therapeutic, sports or preventive.
How many usefulness in pizza, can be determined by the recipes for its preparation:
- Baked dough is in any case healthier than dough fried in oil. And this is the main plus of pizza - it is always baked.
- The second plus of pizza is that the dough for its preparation is not rich (usually prepared without sugar, yeast and other ingredients that fit the term "complex carbohydrates"). Flour for making pizza dough can be selected based on the beneficial properties of cereals.
- The third plus of pizza is fast baking, when the ingredients from which it is prepared do not lose their beneficial properties at high temperatures.
- Pizza has an advantage over casserole in that it is always made with ingredients that are edible and raw. Whereas in the casserole sometimes put products designed for long cooking in the oven.
If a person sets himself the goal of maintaining dietary nutrition, but at the same time wants to have pizza on his table, then there are no obstacles to achieving such a goal. Pizza is interesting in that it can be prepared from generally accepted dietary products: plant food (vegetables, fruits, berries), healthy herbs (cabbage, lettuce), cottage cheese or cheese of any variety, cereals or legumes, healthy sauces and dressings (milk, sour - dairy, vegetable, fruit, berry). The diet recipe for pizza will depend only on the invention of its creator and the goals of recovery.
