Unloading diet.
A unloading diet is a diet that allows you to smoothly switch from high-calorie foods to low-calorie ones, without feeling hungry. Do not confuse a unloading diet with fasting days, since the duration of the new eating system is longer than one - four - seven fasting days.
Usually they switch to a unloading diet for two reasons: they want to weaken the food “onslaught” on the digestive tract during the past holiday feasts, or they seek to switch painlessly to a therapeutic diet without stress for the body. Most often, it is the second reason that becomes predominant when choosing a new diet. In unloading diets for therapeutic purposes, the nutritional components (products) are consistent with the symptoms of a particular disease and methods of its treatment. For this reason, there is a very wide variety of unloading diets (transition diets) used for treatment purposes.
As for the unloading diet of the post-holiday "food bacchanalia", there is a universal approach to changing the diet according to the principle - to eat no less than usual, but low-calorie food. In such a unloading diet, there is a careful selection of foods with a low calorie content in order to "trick" the body into allowing it to consume a lot of food, but with the deceptive effect of being low in calories.
How to change high-calorie meals to low-calorie ones?
- In salads, remove sauces and vegetable oils with which salads are seasoned (mayonnaise, milk sauces, vegetable sauces, vinegar dressings, oil dressings, cheese dressings, gravies).
- In side dishes, give preference to baked, stewed and boiled (steam) vegetables, but exclude potatoes, legumes, pasta. For example, stewed vegetables in any combination can replace a high-calorie side dish. Stew vegetables with a minimum of oil and a maximum of water.
- Prepare sandwiches not with cheese and / or butter, but with cottage cheese and vegetable purees, which are well spread without the participation of butter or cheese.
- Switch meat dishes to steam and boiled cooking mode, not frying. Boiled meat is lower in calories, even if it is high in fat, because during cooking the fats are melted into the water.
- Cook soups and borscht in vegetable broths without oil frying, but simply with the addition of all vegetable components of frying in the process of cooking the soup.
- Give up for a while from the consumption of bread and baked goods made from wheat flour - switch to rye baked goods and cereal bread.
- Nuts and seeds are high-calorie foods, and those who like crunching something during a snack are better off switching to fitness cereals.
- You should give up fried croutons in favor of rye toasts (they are without oil).
- Replace cheeses with unsweetened cottage cheese, and so that it does not seem too bland, add finely chopped salted or pickled vegetables to it - it turns out very tasty both as an independent curd dish and as a spread for toasts.
- In drinks, give preference to unsweetened teas with dried fruits or fruit teas.
When the body begins to "miss" for sweets, apple candy and all the same dried fruits or dried fruits will help.
During the period of the unloading diet, you can eat sweet fruits, sweet vegetables, berries in any quantity, but remove juices from the diet, like compotes, jelly and smoothies.
With a unloading diet, it is not recommended to reduce portions, and if you feel hungry, you need to add the number of approaches to eating, that is, go from three meals a day to five to seven meals a day.
A unloading diet (post-holiday) aims to reduce the intake of excess fats and carbohydrates, but at the same time not make the body starve.
