Meteorological dependence - causes of impaired well-being.
A person is constantly dependent on his natural environment and experiences all the "delights" of its variability. And, no matter how much you want to have great health all the time, sometimes nature creates situations when a person is in her power and can do little to oppose in order to maintain good health. We are talking about meteosensitivity (or meteorological dependence), which is able to spoil the life of anyone who is particularly susceptible to weather fluctuations. Usually, first of all, people with already weakened health suffer from the variability of the weather: hypotension, hypertensive patients, people with vegetative - vascular disorders, with heart or pulmonary insufficiency, with blood diseases, people with an unstable psyche, with endocrine disorders.
Such a property of the body as meteosensitivity, develops not from scratch, but under the influence of quite objective reasons, which in science have a generalized name "space weather". It has long been established that a person (however, like many other living organisms) lives in the atmosphere (the gaseous envelope surrounding the Earth's surface), which has a certain mass and exerts pressure on absolutely all objects located on the Earth's surface (living and non-living). The human body experiences this pressure on itself every second, but in the process of evolution, it has developed endurance to a certain level of atmospheric pressure, which allows it to feel comfortable within certain limits of atmospheric pressure indicators. Health problems begin the moment decompression sickness or altitude sickness).
In addition to the atmosphere, the Earth has its own magnetic field - the magnetosphere (it is inside it that the atmosphere is located). The Earth's magnetic field is constantly influenced by the flow of solar radiation (Solar Wind), due to the fact that the Earth with its magnetic field is practically immersed in this flow. The Earth's magnetic field does not allow the Solar Wind to pass through, but under its influence it contracts - expands and changes the electromagnetic environment, causing disturbances in the atmosphere called magnetic storms. This disturbance (magnetic storms) has a certain rhythm that sometimes does not coincide with the rhythms of a living organism and disrupts many biophysical processes, and therefore changes the state of health, worsens health.
Usually, the target of magnetic oscillations is the cardiovascular system and the nervous system:
- changes in the tone of the walls of blood vessels, causing an increase or decrease in blood pressure, eye pressure, intracranial pressure, changes in the blood supply to the brain;
- the rheological characteristics of blood change, in particular, its viscosity increases as a result of increased aggregation of erythrocytes (clumping of erythrocytes), which leads to a slowdown or disruption of blood flow, provokes the formation of blood clots;
- changes in the speed of passage of nerve impulses, which become the cause of arrhythmias or nervous excitations.
In addition to the changes in "Space Weather", abrupt changes in atmospheric pressure (cyclones and anticyclones) associated with the movement of air masses over the Earth's surface and changes in the temperature regime depending on the season and time of day are also infringers of health. Hence, the reasons for the disturbance of well-being arise during the period of rains, winds, sudden changes in temperature (especially sharp drops by ten degrees below or above the established temperature regime).
The whole set of "quirks" of nature causes certain symptoms, indicating that a person is meteorological:
- Heavy in the head,
- Dizziness,
- Headache attacks,
- Lethargy and lethargy or, on the contrary, uncontrolled nervous excitement,
- Drowsiness,
- Decreased intellectual activity of the brain,
- Vascular spasms,
- Visual impairment,
- Arrhythmias,
- Increased heart rate,
- Lack of oxygen and impaired respiratory activity.
To survive the instability of nature, you need to take care of your health during this period:
- Do not overload yourself with physical or intellectual activities,
- Drink more fluids,
- If possible, spend time in a supine or semi-recumbent position,
- Take more time to sleep,
- Do not plan long-distance travel (or cancel them),
- Avoid events that disturb the nervous system (banquets, discos, etc.),
- Review the food ration for the period of "bad weather" and abandon those types of foods that are digested for a long time (fatty, fried, smoked foods) in favor of easily digestible food.
- Take a break from the consumption of alcoholic beverages (they can lower the already low blood pressure and aggravate the vulnerable state of the body), stop smoking at least for a given period of time.
