Gel sealant protects wounds.
Everyone is familiar with the state of helplessness, when, when injured, there is no means at hand for disinfection and prevention of infection, there is nothing to cover the wound surface with. Such cases become a possible onset of complications in the health of the body and can lead to blood poisoning and death.
For such purposes, scientists have come up with a glue - a sealant that is able to "melt" the damaged surface, firmly sealing it and preventing septic lesions.
The development is called "biogel - sealant MetRo". It is a protein compound, methacryloyl-substituted tropoelastin, derived from the elastin fibers of human tissue, which gives the gel its elastic properties.
The advantage of biogel, a sealant for wounds, is that without additional means (threads, staples), it is able to keep loose tissues close to each other, which contributes to their rapid regeneration, allows you to close the damaged vessel to prevent blood leakage, closes the entrance gate for infection until the moment of carrying out specific surgical interventions, does not require additional fasteners that injure the tissues adjacent to the wound, it allows you to close the wound in hard-to-reach places.
Biogel has advantages over synthetic analogs, since it is not completely foreign material and does not have a toxic and traumatic effect on neighboring tissues of the body.
