Excitable psychopathy.
Psychopathy of the excitable type is a special case of psychopathic personality disorder, manifested by impulsive distortions of a person's character, consisting in sudden attacks of aggression, anger, a desire to conflict. A person in a state of excitable psychopathy does not realize that his aggressive behavior can have a destructive effect on others.
The causes of excitable psychopathy can have several origins:
- Congenital features of the development of the nervous system,
- Traumatic psychogenic factors in early childhood, accompanying the formation of personality and character formation,
- Physical defects and long-term diseases that exhaust the nervous system,
- Parenting defects.
Outbursts of aggression, anger, rage are replaced by calmness, regret about what happened, but similar situations again cause uncontrolled aggression.
People suffering from psychopathy of the excitable type are distinguished by stubbornness, increased excitability, quarrelsomeness, gloom, rancor, a quick change in emotions. They are characterized by a stuck personality type, intransigence, unproductiveness in the choice of solving problems and conflict situations. Intellectual activity and a critical look at one's own behavior in psychopathy of the excitable type do not change.
Treatment of psychopathy of the excitable type is aimed at correcting the patient's personality, changing the system of life values, adapting to the social environment. Personality correction is carried out within the framework of psychotherapeutic treatment in the form of an interview.
