Sea buckthorn berries (18 ounces), rinse, pour over with boiling water and grind (grind in a blender) until smooth, add 3.5 ounces of sugar to the berry mass (or 7 ounces of sugar for a sweet tooth). Dissolve gelatin in a glass (0.5 ounces of gelatin per 7 ounces of warm water), when the gelatin and water turn into a homogeneous liquid gelatinous mass, mix with grated Sea buckthorn berries. Stir the whole mixture until smooth, pour into molds and refrigerate overnight.

Rinse sea buckthorn berries and rinse with boiling water. Grind the berries until smooth and mix with sugar in a proportion of 18 ounces of berries and 9 ounces of sugar. Stir all the berry mass so that the sugar is evenly distributed. Cover the baking sheet with a sheet of parchment, on which lay the berry mass in a layer of no more than one centimeter. Put the baking sheet in an oven with a temperature of 104-122 degrees Fahrenheit (40-50 degrees Celsius) and slowly dry until the layer of berries dries to a state where it can be cut into portions and removed from the sheet. Drying in the oven can take eight hours or more. Finally dry the resulting pastille slices in air until they cool completely and put them in a hermetically sealed glass container. Store this pastille in the refrigerator. Sea buckthorn berry pastille can be eaten as an independent dessert, put on a sandwich or added in pieces to salads (green, vegetable, fruit or berry).

By themselves, Sea buckthorn berries taste fatty, for this reason they are used in food in combination with other fruits or sweet vegetables. The combinations of fruits, vegetables and berries that are most compatible to taste are apple - Sea buckthorn, pear – sea buckthorn, plum – sea buckthorn, peach – sea buckthorn, apricot – sea buckthorn, banana – sea buckthorn, papaya – sea buckthorn, melon – sea buckthorn, pumpkin – sea buckthorn, Zucchini - sea buckthorn. Slightly bake the pumpkin and zucchini before mashed potatoes. Canned fruits can be used to make the puree. To prepare mashed potatoes, use the pulp of a fruit or vegetable chosen according to your own taste in the amount of half the weight of Sea buckthorn berries, from which mashed potatoes will be prepared. For example, to make sea buckthorn puree, you will need 18 ounces of Sea buckthorn berries and 9 ounces of the pulp of the selected fruit or vegetable.
