Chamomile in home cosmetology.
Familiar to everyone, without exception, the plant Pharmacy chamomile is the ideal and most affordable cosmetic product at home. Chamomile can be used for home cosmetology, without having absolutely no skills in the preparation of cosmetic products.
Pharmacy Chamomile is a well-known medicinal plant with many properties suitable for use specifically for cosmetic purposes. Pharmacy Chamomile flowers contain substances that have an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect, which is very important in order to improve the skin and mucous membranes. The composition of Chamomile flowers includes essential oils and tannins, Salicylic acid and many compounds that are used in pharmacological cosmetology (medical cosmetics). Homemade infusions from fresh or dried flowers of Pharmacy Chamomile allow you to solve painful problems of the skin and mucous membranes, both external and internal.
What cosmetic products can be prepared from Chamomile at home? These are the simplest infusions of dried or freshly picked flowers of a plant, which are poured with boiling water (in proportion - one volume of dry raw materials to five volumes of water) and allowed to brew for half an hour. Cooled infusion of Chamomile filtered and used as a means for washing the face and neck or as a means for preparing baths for the whole body or its parts (problem areas of the skin or mucous membranes). Infusions from Chamomile refresh the skin, at the same time giving it a light creamy shade (Chamomile flowers tend to stain fabrics in a light golden color). Externally inflamed and injured skin or mucous membranes receive both antimicrobial protection and a therapeutic compress when using the infusion. It is enough just regularly rinse the skin or mucous membranes with Chamomile infusion. It is very useful after washing the head and hair to use Chamomile infusions for rinsing. Such chamomile rinses have a preventive effect on the head skin and improve the quality and color of the hair, giving a natural glow to the hair, which occurs due to the partial dyeing of the hair in a golden tint.
Chamomile tea creates a diaphoretic effect, which also helps to cleanse the skin of toxins, and not just cleanse the entire body. The diaphoretic effect is akin to a diuretic action to remove toxic waste products from the life of harmful microorganisms or from harmful substances that have entered the body, especially if these substances are directly absorbed into the skin or mucous membranes. Chamomile teas are prepared according to the same principle as Green tea, but the leaves are not brewed, but the flowers.
It is known that the quality of the skin is directly dependent on what a person eats. This applies not only to food, but also to drinks. It is for this reason that Chamomile tea is useful for many signs of deterioration in the quality of the skin, as it has not only a preventive effect on the internal structures of the digestive tract, but also has a calming effect on the nervous system, which is directly related to many skin reactions. Stress and an unbalanced nervous system are the root cause of the development of many skin diseases, and hence cosmetic problems, some of which turn into chronic forms of the course.
You can make a homemade lotion from Chamomile flowers, which will cleanse and soften the skin at the same time. For homemade Chamomile lotion, you will need dry or fresh Chamomile flowers in the amount of two tablespoons and 17 ounces of milk. Pour Chamomile flowers into a saucepan with milk, put on low heat and heat for 15 minutes, without boiling. Remove milk with Chamomile from heat and leave for an hour. Strain the cooled infusion through a sieve or a double layer of gauze. Pour the lotion into an airtight container and use within a week (this is how long Chamomile Milk Lotion can be stored in the refrigerator). Next, a fresh batch of lotion is prepared. Chamomile lotion can be used daily in place of cosmetic milk and cleansing cosmetic lotions.
Chamomile compresses - An excellent anti-inflammatory agent for tired skin. Chamomile compress is made on the basis of an infusion of Chamomile flowers, but the concentration of the infusion changes (one volume of dry raw materials to two volumes of water). The prepared infusion is kept for an hour, and then filtered and used as needed. The prepared infusion for a compress is consumed warm (heated in a water bath to a temperature convenient for the skin or mucous membranes). For a compress, a bandage or gauze (or any natural cotton cloth) is used, which is soaked in infusion and applied to the problem area on the skin or mucous membrane. When the compress has cooled down, the fabric or gauze is soaked with warm infusion and again applied to the skin or mucous membrane. Compress (application) can be done within an hour and used not only as a sedative, home skin peeling (steam out the skin, open the pores for deep skin cleansing).
The healing properties of Chamomile, widely used in the cosmetic and pharmacological industries, can be easily used in the preparation of home cosmetic products. Unlike industrial products, homemade cosmetic products from Chamomile do not contain preservatives and unnecessary chemical compounds that sometimes cause allergic reactions.
