How to rest properly?

It would seem that give the person free time and money, and he will provide himself with rest. But in practice, it turns out that it is not so easy to have the right rest. During the period of intensive work, the human body, or rather its nervous system, accelerates as much as possible. And at these high speeds, labor productivity is kept. In fact, a person is in a neurotic state, from which it is impossible to get out of it at once, since it is not possible to stop the high-speed mode of the nervous system in one fell swoop, it will slow down gradually. For this reason, a sudden exit from a working state to a state of rest is also stressful.

Experts in the field of the study of the human psyche recommend not to stop working abruptly and fall on the sofa, but to start alternating working hours with hours of rest, gradually reducing the former and increasing the latter.

Since prolonged unproductive inactivity is also stressful for a person, it is more effective to rest while being in an active state. The main thing is that physical activity (or their results) bring satisfaction, improve mood.

And when at last the hours of work are reduced to a minimum, and the time of rest to the maximum, you can try to idle: wander aimlessly from corner to corner, lie thoughtlessly on the sofa, engage in passive contemplation of the world around you.

There is no need to make rigid plans for the rest period, they begin to strain, especially in cases of their chronic non-fulfillment. Perform the planned business during the rest period as the desire arises, and not as necessary. The need is unnerving.

What types of rest will allow you to relax as much as possible:

  • Nature hike (with adventure elements - explore a new area),
  • Reading adventure literature or science fiction,
  • Fishing, picking berries or mushrooms, picking useful herbs,
  • Watching fascinating feature films,
  • A trip to a zoo or a nature reserve and communication with animals,
  • Relaxation by the pond, swimming, visiting the pool.

Do not limit yourself to the time allotted for this kind of entertainment, let the body itself get tired of rest and miss work.
