Sauna and weight loss.
Many people consider bath procedures not only as healing and restorative for the body, but also as a way to lose excess weight. The question of this method of losing weight remains controversial, but it is worth figuring out whether there is a chance of losing weight by regularly visiting the bathhouse.
The main hope for losing weight is pinned on the sauna for the simple reason that intense sweating occurs during the heating of the body. The total weight may decrease slightly after profuse sweating, but the body actually dehydrates rather than breaks down fats. After all, energy loads during this period are not observed in the body, which means there is no process of fat consumption.
The hope that excess body fat will disappear in the sauna is not entirely justified, because the metabolism is responsible for the deposition of fat, and not the ambient temperature. If this were so, then in hot countries there would be no fat people, but, nevertheless, they are.
In order for the sauna to play the role of a reliever of excess weight, it is necessary not to lie in it - to sit, but to engage in physical activity, which can have a detrimental effect on the state of health. This is because at high sauna temperatures (80-100 degrees), the body experiences colossal overloads, and all its systems are busy saving organs from overheating, and blood from clotting.
If physical activity is added to such a borderline state, the body will not withstand, and first of all, the heart will not withstand, which changes the intensity of blood distillation depending on whether heating or cooling is required. Additional energy expenditure will lead to even more overheating, which the body may not be able to cope with.
For this reason, it is not necessary to rely on lying in the sauna as a pleasant and inexpensive way to get rid of fat.
