How useful are juices?
A healthy lifestyle is always associated with the consumption of natural products, the most natural products are, of course, fruits and vegetables that nature itself has grown for our health. And of course, it is always more pleasant to quench your thirst and drown out the feeling of hunger with something tasty, and here juices from fresh vegetables and fruits come to the rescue. I drank a glass of thick juice and is no longer hungry, and few calories are consumed, and it is pleasant for the intestines to process liquid, and I do not want to drink so much.
But it doesn't always make sense to eat such safe and healthy juices. The best choice is to replace a glass of juice with a few fruits or vegetables without processing (eat them in the form in which they were raised by nature).
Why juices are not a good choice for a healthy diet?
When making a glass of juice, 3-4-5 fruits or vegetables are spent on it, and the peel, heads of cabbage with seeds, stroma or other hard fiber leave as waste. What remains in the juice are vitamins and minerals.
As a result, we have a lot of sucrose in the glass (high concentration) if the fruit or vegetable was sweet, increased acid levels if the fruit or vegetable was sour.
This applies to freshly squeezed juices. If we are talking about factory products in the form of juices, then the situation is even worse. In addition to the fact that the juice itself contains sugars and acids, it is flavored artificially with an additional sugar addition to partially reduce the degree of acidity, and ascorbic acid is added as a preservative to those juices in which there is not enough acid. Heat treatment (pasteurization) of juices destroys vitamins and some trace elements.
What remains as a healthy food product? Only the title.
On the contrary, by eating a few raw fruits and vegetables instead of a glass of juice, you get a minimum of calories (little sugar), minimize trauma to the stomach with vegetable acids, eat fiber that is useful for intestinal motility, get an addition of vitamins and trace elements, and also quench your appetite and thirst.
