Milkshake, freakshake, overshake - what is it?
It would seem that such a thing can be invented in the preparation of a simple familiar milkshake? But it turns out that a milkshake is just a canvas on which anyone can test themselves as an artist-designer!
Milkshake - this newfangled name trending milkshake with a design accent. This is the cocktail with which you can surprise your household, friends, guests and even colleagues at work, where you are going to celebrate something.
But this milkshake has one significant drawback - it is as attractive as it is calorie. This is a "super-calorie" milkshake in the literal sense of the word, since all the calories are "located" with a cap on top of the shake itself.
The culprit was the carob ice cream, which they began to decorate with an overly high turret with various sweets, sprinkles and syrups. It inspired the idea that in this way it is possible to make the drink more attractive.
It so happened that in order for the milkshake not to seem too trivial, the Australian resourceful culinary specialist from the city of Canberra decided to move away from the usual cocktail traditions and "embellished" the drink.
The result of such an experiment was not just a breakthrough in cocktail making, but the beginning of new trends in the preparation of drinks in general, since the milkshake was followed by an overshake, followed by a fancy freakshake. And so they gradually got to beer, turning craft beer (IPA - translated as "Indian pale ale") into a milkshake IPA or lactose beer.
Today all cafes and restaurants that seek to attract the attention of visitors use milkshake, freakshake, overshake in their menu, and beer bars keep up with them with their quirky milkshake IPAs. And if earlier dessert or sandwiches were in addition to a drink, today they make up a single whole, and the fantasies of manufacturers have truly become limitless in this art of decorating drinks.
The composition of the milkshake IPA is of interest to many beer lovers, since ordinary craft beer is thickened according to various recipes with lactose, flour of various types of cereals, fruit purees, and spices. The result is a cloudy fruity beer (another name for milkshake IPA).
It is not so difficult to build a turret of any size on top of a glass of a drink. For these purposes, you can use a substrate of culinary mastic or cookies, a layer of thick nut butter, and in prosaic cases, half a sandwich bun. As for the details of the decorations, their role is played by cream, ice cream, meringues, caramels, peanuts and whole nuts, sweets, decorative culinary decorations, pieces of chocolate and cookies, marshmallows, fresh and dried fruits, dried fruits and vegetables and everything else. can be mounted on a turret by virtue of your own imagination.
There is one not very pleasant property of this kind of drinks - their calorie content reaches 1000-1500 calories, which is almost equal to more than half of the daily dose of calories. So diet and milkshake, freakshake, overshake are not compatible. But what is most interesting about this kind of drinks is that those who are in tune with willpower have enough endurance to drink the drink and not eat its decoration. You can just make a photo session with this high-calorie exotic and leave yourself as a souvenir not calories, but their image.
