Spice drinks.
Quite trivial tea, coffee, juice, milk can become a unique drink if you learn how to add spices to them.
The tradition of decorating drinks with the taste and aroma of spices has been known since ancient times. In addition to an interesting multifaceted taste, the drink acquired, according to doctors, medicinal properties, which turned it into a popular medicine.
Today, interest in the use of spices has not lost its popularity. Spice drinks are especially attractive, but not everyone knows how to use spices correctly and what kind of drinks they add them to.
The most attractive shades of taste and smell for decorating a drink are possessed by such spices as:
- cardamom,
- Carnation,
- basil,
- almond,
- cinnamon,
- ginger,
- fennel seeds,
- marjoram,
- vanilla,
- saffron,
- nutmeg,
- chicory,
- rose petals.
Suitable for sweet hot drinks (coffee, milk, tea, hot chocolate): cardamom, cloves, rose petals, almonds, vanilla, cinnamon, chicory, ginger, nutmeg.
Sweet juice (apple, pear, grape) will decorate with its smell and taste: cinnamon, basil, cardamom, cloves, almonds, vanilla, ginger, nutmeg.
Vegetable (tomato, carrot, cucumber, beetroot) or sour fruit juices (citrus, pomegranate, plum) are suitable: basil, marjoram, fennel seeds, saffron.
You can prepare lemonade (lemon, orange) with the addition of cinnamon, cardamom, basil, cloves, vanilla.
Do not forget that, although the aromatic oils of many plants used as spices have a relaxing effect when inhaled, spices taken internally have a tonic effect on the digestive tract. This means that the spices stimulate the digestive tract, enhancing the secretion of digestive enzymes, which is useful only for people with a reduced secretory function of digestion.
In a person suffering from high acidity, hypersecretion of pancreatic and liver enzymes, a spice drink can exacerbate or develop diseases such as ulcers, gastritis, colitis, GERD, Crohn disease and many other digestive disorders.
