Systemic vasculitis - what is it?
Systemic vasculitis - inflammation of the vascular wall of a nonspecific nature, resulting from autoimmune effects, can be systemic. With systemic vasculitis, all layers of the tissue of the vascular wall are affected, leading to its degradation, deformation, causing collapse of the vessel walls, impaired patency, ruptures, and increased permeability.
This, in turn, entails a violation of the patency of vessels of various calibers, a violation of microcirculation, which leads to a violation of the trophism of tissues of internal organs, the development of necrosis of tissues of organs and ischemia of organs.
Signs of systemic vasculitis:
- are not specific (similar to symptoms of other diseases),
- loss of appetite,
- development of asthenic syndrome,
- general ill health, weakness,
- decrease in body weight,
- hemorrhagic rash on the skin and mucous membranes,
- ulcers, foci of tissue necrosis.
General examination of the state of internal organs shows violations of trophism of tissues, necrosis of the parenchyma of internal organs.
Diagnosis of the disease is carried out by examining the state of blood vessels using angiography, biopsy of tissues of affected organs is made and morphological examination of the affected tissue is carried out.
Treatment of systemic vasculitis is based on suppressing the hyperfunction of the immune system, since systemic vasculitis is considered an autoimmune disease. For this, therapy is carried out with drugs - immunosuppressants. Prescribe a course of nicotinic acid and its derivatives to strengthen the vascular wall.
At the same time, anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs are involved in therapy in order to prevent hemorrhages. At the same time, therapy with vasodilators, angioprotectors is carried out, to purify the blood from immune complexes and antibodies circulating in the bloodstream, cascade filtration of blood plasma is carried out.
