Six popular bad habits
In addition to smoking, addiction to alcohol and gambling, there are several popular bad habits that are abused from time to time by all people. These habits may not be harmful to health, but are rather useless from the point of view of a rational lifestyle.
The habit of spending time relaxing in bars is firmly entrenched even for those people who are not inclined to drink. The company or the interlocutor behind the bar allows you to spend time serenely talking about the essence of life, making new acquaintances and being distracted from the work and home environment. This habit is typical for the category of people who do not have a specific hobby, but have free time that they want to spend in a relaxed atmosphere and do something.
The habit of spending free time on the Internet today has become the most popular among all age categories. Social networks, blogs, online stores have become an affordable means of entertainment for most people with the advent of portable digital devices. Any free minute was spent on viewing messages in instant messengers and social networks. Information is drawn from blogs, not from thematic TV shows, magazines and books. Shopomania has evolved into online shopping for an endless supply of goods. Online cinemas have become preferable to the allure that comes from going to the cinema in person and watching big screen movies.
The habit of spending money on goods at a discount struck all segments of the population. The advent of credit cards made shopping more spontaneous. If with cash a person was limited in purchases only by the amount he took with him, then a credit card linked to a salary account or an account with an overdraft (spontaneous microcredit) allows you to spend all the cash you have earned and even more.
The habit of "collecting" shoes, as it turned out, affects not only females, but also men. Unworn pairs of shoes sometimes fill the wardrobe so densely that boxes of shoes bought earlier and ended up in the background simply fall out of sight and are forgotten.
The habit of dieting and torturing the body with healing rolls periodically on each person by the season of better weather and the opening of the beach season. Excess fat at the waist is remembered only at the moment of transition from warm clothes to a lighter option. The fact that a restrictive diet adds a dose of stress to life is somehow forgotten. And instead of pleasant sensations from meeting warm weather, a person finds himself in captivity of bleak meals, from which, by the way, a person should get maximum pleasure, since food is also a form of entertainment.
Many people suffer from the habit of preventive treatment of undiagnosed diseases. Vitamins and mineral supplements are taken inappropriately, health procedures often harm the human body, and do not relieve health problems. Therapeutic nutritional supplements do not correspond to the current state of human health and can disrupt the balance of metabolism so significantly that they create the prerequisites for the transition from prevention to treatment of an emerging disease.
A person can get rid of popular bad habits on their own, without resorting to the services of therapists in the field of getting rid of harmful addictions. But in order to identify a popular bad habit, it takes personal courage and responsibility for your life.
