Who is a misanthrope?
The animal instincts inherited from ancestors made man a social being, that is, having a natural need to be in a society of his own kind. But the development of intelligence played a joke on the person, giving him at the same time the desire to sometimes be alone, alone with himself.
There are people who, to a greater or lesser extent, strive for loneliness, a closed way of life, who feel more comfortable outside the environment of other people, are able to make decisions on their own, and not be guided by the opinion of the majority, are able to work more productively and have more effective rest, being outside the group. A slight degree of such alienation from society is called individualism, and a heavy one is called misanthropy.
Misanthropy (translated from Greek) is a form of personality existence, in which such character traits as resentment, rancor, distrust, suspicion acquire a hypertrophied character in a person.
The misanthrope is hostile to representatives of human society, although very often he has a high level of affection for the representatives of the animal world. A person's dislike for the people around him is most often associated with contempt for human weaknesses, low mental development, and a tendency to make mistakes.
The misanthrope has a social circle, making careful choices among people. In his environment, as a rule, there are people with a fairly high level of intelligence, extraordinary abilities, endowed with e, to a certain extent, traits of individualism.
The misanthrope, being arrogant, also makes high demands on himself when he is dissatisfied with the results of his labor.
Misanthropy can be selective, when a person dislikes only some people.
Misanthropy is not considered a mental disorder, although extreme forms of misanthropy can transform into psychopathy. And if you suddenly notice the traits characteristic of misanthropy, then you should not color them and cultivate them to vast limits, because it is economically profitable in human society, and not in the animal world, and besides, there are fewer and fewer uninhabited islands on earth.
