Wrong posture affects what?
Posture - or the correct position of the spinal column and muscle corset in relation to the distributed loads on the upper and lower extremities, in addition to a slender appearance, is responsible for the correct position and function of some internal organs.
Posture is physiologically tied to the location of internal organs and highways of the circulatory and lymphatic systems.
Poor posture or slouching (curvature of the cervical and thoracic spine) can lead to problems with the blood supply to the brain. The displacement of the vertebrae with curvature of the cervical spine can clamp not only the nerve endings, but also the blood vessels that supply the brain with blood. This is reflected in dizziness, headaches, sometimes in visual impairment.
Curvature of the thoracic spine may be accompanied by symptoms that mimic pain attacks with angina pectoris, heart pain. This does not mean that the heart is under stress with such a curvature, rather it is pain of neuralgic origin, which develops during compression due to the bending of the spine, the nerve endings of this area.
Slouching can accompany kyphosis and scoliosis, but these diseases can affect the location of the lungs, changing in some way the volume of the lungs (slightly, but noticeable with deep breathing).
Slouching contributes to the development of a double chin, exacerbation and progression of osteochondrosis, cause neuralgia and pinching of the nerves of the cervical spine.
Simply put, stoop does not contribute to the health of the body, but, on the contrary, can aggravate the condition of some internal organs, causing congestion in tissues, disrupting the trophism and innervation of these tissues.
