How to care for teeth in childhood?
Temporary teeth are not yet a reason not to worry about their health. No matter how strange the fact may seem, but the health of the oral cavity is laid even in childhood and comes with the habit of properly caring for the teeth, because the early loss of a milk tooth is a path to bite deformation in a later period, with the formation of permanent dentition.
Teaching a child to brush his teeth correctly, to turn daily oral hygiene into not a "chore" duty, but into entertainment is not an easy task. Adults themselves tend to skip brushing their teeth, replace it with chewing gum or rinse, brush their teeth not after, but before meals in the morning. And the child will certainly notice all the "rules" of the parent and begin to follow them.
Personal example of brushing your teeth, brushing routine, effective brushing exercises - this is a small set of rules that parents should work out together with their children.
To captivate the child and develop an interest in the hygiene of their own teeth, it is necessary:
- Buy a beautiful and comfortable toothbrush,
- Use "tasty" toothpaste,
- Have several book stories (preferably with pictures) or cartoons about such "entertainment" as brushing your teeth.
The child would rather follow the example of a cartoon or book hero who brushes his teeth several times a day every day after meals. As an example of bad uncleaned teeth, you can consider the terrible teeth of a fictional negative hero (an animal or human character).
An older child may be interested in technical innovations in the field of toothbrushes: electric brushes and brushes with music, when the timer plays a melody at the end of the brushing time.
Until the age of two, children also brush their teeth, but the parents themselves put a special silicone brush on their finger - a massager, clean their erupted teeth with it and massage the gums.
Until a certain age, when the child himself can realize the need for regular brushing, taking care of dental care in childhood is the responsibility of the parents.
