First, it is a shift in food priorities towards plant foods. No one forbids eating meat, but vegetable or fruit soups, side dishes, snacks and drinks are those components of the diet that, according to Canadian nutritionists, are healthier than meat dishes. It is recommended to learn to replace animal proteins with vegetable proteins, and animal fats - with vegetable oils.
Secondly, nutritionists advise to fall in love with cereals, and with them cereals, which serve as a natural source of light carbohydrates that the body needs, but do not affect painful endocrine problems. Cereals are almost a complete vitamin and mineral complex plus fiber, which is necessary for effective digestion.
Thirdly, nutritionists adhere to traditional views on drinks, that is, they recommend giving preference to ordinary drinking water, rather than sweetened or acidified juices, synthetic drinks.
Fourth, fractional eating in the Canadian diet continues to dominate all traditional or experimental variations in mealtime rhythm. So it is recommended five to six meals a day, which does not keep the body from hand to mouth, but does not allow it to pass. This is virtually a continuous supply of nutrients, so you don't feel hungry throughout the day and not be tempted by high-calorie fast foods - fast foods.
Fifth, do not abuse dairy products in cases where they are not required: tea with milk, coffee with milk, porridge with milk, milk soup. Sometimes milk becomes not a source of nutrients, but an obstacle to their absorption. Dairy products are good on their own: just a glass of milk, a glass of kefir or fermented baked milk, a piece of cheese or a portion of cottage cheese.
Sixth, homemade food has an advantage without the participation of synthetic ingredients (substitutes, imitations). Self-prepared natural food is always healthier than a purchased semi-finished product.
