Photorejuvenation.
Photorejuvenation is a procedure aimed at stimulating the regenerative processes of the skin. It is believed that photorejuvenation helps to stimulate the growth of fibroblasts, which are responsible for the synthesis of collagen and elastin, which in turn makes it possible to resist the aging process of the skin to a certain extent, while maintaining its firmness and elasticity.
Photorejuvenation can be of interest to people with age spots, spider veins on the skin, fine wrinkles, and skin that has lost its elasticity.
The photorejuvenation procedure is carried out using a device - a visible light emitter, adjusted to the type of skin. The treatment of selected areas of the skin (face, neck, décolleté) with a series of flashes occurs on the skin preliminarily lubricated with a light-conducting cooling gel. This is done so that there is no burn, the skin will only slightly redden after the procedure, and the redness will last about an hour.
The photorejuvenating procedure is carried out in several sessions (optimally three to four times) at regular intervals (three weeks or a month) and has contraindications. It is categorically impossible to carry out the photorejuvenation procedure for skin diseases, acne, photosensitive skin, after a recent sunburn, people with dark skin, in the presence of cancer, during pregnancy, in diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, in the presence of foci of inflammation on the skin.
During photo processing, moles, tattoos, eyebrows and eyes are closed from radiation. After the photorejuvenation procedure, you cannot go to the solarium, sunbathe on the beach, visit the bathhouse and sauna. You should also refrain from traveling to hot countries.
Side effects of photorejuvenation:
- slight peeling;
- persistent redness of the skin (no more than several days) in cases where the capillaries come close to the skin surface;
- swelling (goes away with time).
