Wraps - salon and home.
Body wraps are a spa treatment and are very popular with salon body treatments.
Wraps are used for several purposes:
- to burn excess body fat (anti-cellulite wraps, thermal wraps);
- to improve the structural qualities of the skin of the body: moisturizing, enhancing skin turgor, lifting (wraps with oils or creams);
- for the purpose of warming up as a physiotherapy (alcohol wraps, whiskey wraps).
Body wrapping is akin to face masks and is part of your regular body care routine.
Any type of wrapping involves wrapping the body in an airtight material. For a variety of effects, the body skin is pre-lubricated with thermal creams, moisturizers, alcohol-containing liquids, honey, oils and the like. The greenhouse effect created under the airtight fabric makes the natural mechanism of perspiration work for the benefit of beauty. The pores expand, the skin is moisturized, but the liquid from the surface of the body does not evaporate, moisturizing creams more easily penetrate into the steamed structures of the skin into its deeper layers. Body temperature, coupled with thermal creams, helps to warm problem areas of the skin with cellulite deposits and leads to fat burning. The effect of the wrap does not come immediately, it requires several procedures over several days or their regularity.
It is not always possible to carry out wrapping within the salon, and for such a case there is the possibility of home wraps. For these purposes, a plastic wrap is purchased long enough to wrap the entire body from head to ankles. Wrapping the body can also be carried out in areas, for example, only the area of the waist or abdomen or thighs, etc. It is not difficult to prepare a nourishing mask for wrapping at home. The whiskey wrap can be replaced with any herbal alcohol wrap for external use. Such an alcoholic tincture is easy to prepare yourself in advance.
The whiskey wrap can also be replaced with a honey-alcohol wrap, which is especially popular for treating colds at home, but has a positive effect and a period of health for the body.
For thermoactive wrapping, creams are purchased that tend to heat up under normal body temperature when in contact with the skin. Wrapping with such creams at home is a common fat burning procedure. But it is also possible to reduce the fatty subcutaneous layer with the help of so-called dry wraps, when an airtight material is simply applied to clean skin without lubrication and additives.
Any nourishing or moisturizing cream for the body can play a beneficial role and enhance its action on the skin if it participates in the wrap. Creams can be replaced with vegetable oils - olive, sea buckthorn, St. John's wort, chamomile, pink, eucalyptus and many others. Even simple sunflower or rapeseed oil can improve the condition of the skin when it participates in wrapping.
