Hyaluronic acid injections, indications and contraindications.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance present in the structures of the skin and is responsible for retaining moisture, due to which the skin maintains turgor, looks elastic and does not wrinkle. In cosmetology, they learned how to use subcutaneous injections of hyaluronic acid to compensate for the aging process of the skin, where the production of hyaluronic acid is reduced or completely stopped.
But, like any medical procedure, cosmetic injection with hyaluronic acid has contraindications, since the injection itself is already a violation of the integrity of the skin, a natural barrier to infection. And an inadequate reaction of the body to an injected substance can deprive a healthy appearance for a long time.
To detect allergic reactions to hyaluronic acid, a test injection is made not in the face area.
