Acne during menstruation.
Often the problem of acne occurs in women on the eve and during menstruation. Even those of the fairer sex who could boast of flawless skin begin to suffer from the invasion of acne.
The development of acne during menstruation is associated with a cyclical change in the hormonal background, when during the period of preparation of the body for menstruation, estrogens begin to be actively produced, which affect the work of the cells of the dermis and epidermis, or rather, force the sebaceous glands to work hard.
As a rule, such an acne does not last long, heals quickly when moving from one stage of the hormonal cycle to the next.
But some acne formations on the skin can last for a rather long period, since an infection joins the increased sebum secretion, for example, bacteria or skin parasites-saprophytes, for which the increased oily skin is a favorable habitat, and this is the possibility of enhanced reproduction.
For this reason, in the periods before menstruation, and at the time of its onset, it is necessary to pay a little more attention to the skin than in the rest of the time.
Skin hygiene plays an important role in the duration of inflammation in the area of new acne. This means that for this period, fatty face care creams should be replaced with moisturizers, and spot disinfection of pimples should be carried out with drying and antimicrobial agents.
It is worth changing the diet for a while, giving up unnecessarily fatty foods, refusing to take hot dishes and drinks, so as not to provoke excessive production of salads. Menstruation is a time of intensive skin care, and during this period you can take preventive measures to maintain and correct the work of the gastrointestinal tract, which plays an important role in the health of the skin.
