What is interval training?
Interval training has recently become the most popular among fitness enthusiasts and sports newbies. The essence of interval training is to divide the time for the load in such a way that maximum effort alternates with rest, and not a uniform load during the entire training period, as in normal cases.
As a rule, an intense period of physical activity exceeds the state of relaxation (respite) several times. For example, running as hard as possible for 10 seconds and jogging for the remaining 50 seconds. Then everything is repeated and this training ends with a gradual decrease in the load. The pace of physical effort and the time spent on the load increases gradually. A prerequisite for interval training is a high-quality warm-up, warming up the muscles, which will allow during the period of a physical jerk not to break the fibers of muscle tissue, and the period of their recovery will not be delayed.
Interval training requires good health, especially in cardiovascular health.
Before moving on to intense loads in interval training, you should consult with a cardiologist about the condition of your heart and its endurance.
During the period of rest between intense loads, you should monitor the heartbeat, achieve the restoration of rhythm, breathing, and only after that proceed to the next physical jerk.
Interval workouts can include cardio workouts, exercise equipment workouts, machine workouts, and brisk gymnastics workouts. It all depends on the preferences and program of serious sports and fitness.
It is believed that interval training can effectively burn body fat and promote faster weight loss.
