How to learn to relax?
All human life is built on the tension of the nervous system, because it is the nervous system that controls almost all functions in the body. As long as it is possible to keep the nervous system in order, the health of a person will last. But so that the nervous system does not overload and fails at one "perfect moment", it is necessary to forcibly relax it. How to learn to relax, after all, a person does not always notice that he is living tensely, and when tension crosses a critical point, it is difficult and sometimes impossible to reverse everything - a person's health is "peddled".
To learn how to relax, you need to understand what exactly the nervous tension manifests itself in, what are its symptoms. The most common manifestations of overstrain of the nervous system:
- Irritability - everything is annoying: from the voice of a colleague to the quality of paving;
- Sleepiness - it seems that you are suffering from lack of sleep, although there was enough time for sleep;
- Touchiness and tearfulness - traumatic even trivial situations;
- Rapid fatigue - not only labor efficiency falls, but fatigue from entertainment also appears;
- Conflicts and misunderstandings become more frequent - unpleasant relationships are born from petty claims;
- General weakness appears, unwillingness to go to work, interest in active entertainment decreases;
- Muscle tone increases (including the muscles of the neck, back, which creates an additional load on the state of general internal tension, the peristalsis of the smooth muscles of the esophagus and intestines may be disturbed).
If any of the symptoms are present in life, then it's time to work on yourself.
- At work, it is necessary to distance oneself from potential irritants, avoid conflicts, solve problems one by one, and not all at once, and leave some of them unresolved altogether.
- Planning your life for the time of relaxation must be postponed, since plans always strain them with inevitable implementation. The daily routine can also sometimes be unnerving, and if this happens, then for the time of relaxation it is necessary to move away from the accepted rigid schedule of the day.
- The best rest for the nervous system is sleep or quiet contemplation of a pleasant environment, therefore it is necessary to increase the rest time in spite of the established work schedule. Of course, it is unlikely that you will be able to shorten the length of the working day, but you can move away from the usual schedule of household chores and devote more time to sleep, walk or just lie on the couch.
- Warm and hot procedures (not contrasting ones!) Well relax muscle tension: sauna, spa procedures, baths, showers, foot baths.
- A light massage of the head, neck, shoulder girdle, legs also relieves nervous tension by acting on the skin and muscle nerve endings.
- Bathing in warm natural springs (natural baths) and mud therapy will be a good help in the relaxation procedure.
- To restore the nervous system, evening tea drinking with unobtrusive conversations is suitable, where you can add some variety to the preparation of tea: buy several new varieties and taste them, taking the opportunity.
