Tremor of the head and arms.
Tremor of the head and arms - tremors of the muscles in a relaxed state or in tension. This phenomenon most often occurs in elderly people with the development of Parkinson disease associated with a lack of the neurotransmitter Dopamine, which plays a large role in the correct transmission of nerve impulses and affects motor activity. Low dopamine levels lead to muscle stiffness and tremors.
But often a tremor of the hands or head occurs in people of a relatively young age. The reasons for this phenomenon can be associated with a number of factors:
- disorders of the autonomic nervous system, which are responsible for regulating the work of internal organs,
- long exhausting stressful situations,
- neurosis,
- disorders of muscle tone - muscle weakness,
- endocrine disorders,
- genetic predisposition to this kind of disorder.
People suffering from tremors of the head and limbs are more interested not in the reasons for their uncomfortable condition, but in the possibility of getting rid of tremors in the limbs and head.
Treatment of tremors of the head and limbs is based on identifying the factors that provoke this condition of the muscles. There are a number of medications available to slow down the shaking process. For tremors that are not associated with endocrine diseases, strength exercises are recommended to train the muscles of the cervical spine and limbs. Trained muscles can withstand the load more easily and are not prone to tremors. Such exercises are based on lifting the barbell, in a position that creates a load on the limbs and cervical spine, exercises with dumbbells, push-ups.
A technique has been developed for Botox injections into the belt and sternocleidomastoid muscles of the neck, in the elbow area, which reduce the amplitude of oscillations. People with neurasthenia, vegetative-vascular disorders, neurosis, prolonged stressful situations are advised to take herbal sedative preparations, which inhibit nerve impulses that regulate muscle (motor activity) of the limbs and thereby reduce tremor.
