My own psychologist >>>> Personal space of a person
Personal space of a person.
A person's personal space is a person 's comfort zone located around him and is a continuation of his inner world. Despite the fact that a person is by nature a social being, he cannot and should not constantly be in close surroundings of people, and has the right to take a break from communication, be alone with his thoughts, calm the nervous system, and deal with his own emotions.
Where are the boundaries of personal space? Each person independently sets the boundaries of his personal space, and these boundaries may be different for different people. When communicating with a stranger or unfamiliar person, you need to be able to understand the signals that the person gives you, trying to outline the boundaries that you should not go beyond if you want to continue communication with him in the future.
Not knowing the exact boundaries of a person's personal space, do not try to get too close to him, touch his hands (even if it is a friendly pat on the shoulder or accidental touch on the hand). A person may smile in response to your touch, but only in order to maintain decency, but in his heart he may not be ready for such close communication.
To violate the boundaries of personal space, without first disposing a person to himself, means “attacking” him, and a “troublemaker” may pay for such an attack, causing a reciprocal feeling of hostility. First, you need to establish emotional contact, psychologically prepare the person for the fact that you would like to go with him for rapprochement (no matter what: friendly or sexual).
You should not start rapprochement with a stubborn gaze, this can cause tension in a person, which does not at all stimulate rapprochement. The best way to start is having a conversation, and the warmer the conversation goes, the closer the relationship will start to become. It is by talking with a person that you can gradually find out what is pleasant for him and what is unbearable, and thus determine those boundaries, the entry beyond which is prohibited.
