Peace of mind - how to maintain it?
Mental balance is the most comfortable of all states of the nervous system, which allows a person to think clearly, restrain himself from reckless actions, not generate quarrels, not injure his psyche with unnecessary anxiety, in short, “not poison” his life with meaningless vanity.
It is not easy to achieve peace of mind, but it is quite easy to undermine it if the person's psyche is vulnerable, and he is not able to withstand the onslaught of a large number of problems.
To maintain peace of mind, you need:
- Willpower,
- The desire to protect yourself from traumatic factors,
- Daily workouts for a quick way out of various tricky situations.
You will have to tinker with willpower, and if you don't have it, then educate. Any tranquility requires certain volitional efforts to achieve it. The desire to protect oneself from negativity does not always coincide with the actions of a person, sometimes contradictory. Since even having a very strong desire not to get involved in traumatic situations, a person is inclined to follow the lead of his emotions when the mind repeats the opposite and calls to stop. In order to train the body, or rather the nervous system, not to be involved in all everyday problems, it is necessary to learn how to filter these problems according to the degree of importance for themselves and to discard minor problems, leaving them without a solution.
To keep your peace of mind:
- Do not take on guarantees of solving those problems that you are not able to cope with within the next month.
- Do not react to conflict situations immediately, relax your inner tension.
- Cultivate self-restraint about other people's immorality.
- Do not cultivate resentment and revenge in your soul.
- Consider situations that require solutions in a calm atmosphere and in a state not clouded by emotions.
- Move away from obsessive fears and pointless anxiety with a wall of positive emotions (look for positive moments in life and focus on them).
Do not forget that there is a certain relationship between peace of mind and the correct solution to life's tasks. In a state of mental balance, a person thinks more rationally than in a state of mental anxiety, which means that fewer mistakes will be made in life.
