Cyclic fasting - what is it?
Cyclic fasting is a technique invented by nutritionist Alexander Pavlovich Voroshilov. The basis of this method is the period of a break in food intake, which is calculated in such a way as not to cause damage to the body, but only to spur it on to the process of spending the reserves of adipose tissue, which is surplus and forms excess weight.
The fasting period is chosen between two meals. A weekly interval within a month is considered ideal. But breaks of 3-4 days are also suitable.
Given the fact that nature has created the body in such a way that in the periods following hunger breaks, the body seeks to replenish the reserves spent with interest, cyclic fasting is calculated so that the diet after fasting does not allow the body to store excess.
Cyclic fasting is carried out at home, but under the supervision of a doctor who will adjust the fasting interval, taking into account the patient's health and the reaction of his body to the lack of nutrition. During the fasting period, you can cleanse the body of unused food components remaining in the intestines. For this, it is recommended to cleanse the intestines by taking mild laxatives.
During cyclic fasting, they do not stop drinking water, tea, coffee, but without sugar, milk or other additives.
Cyclic fasting is not designed to cure any diseases; rather, this technique aims to accustom the body to a state of mild hunger, and will contribute to moderate food consumption in the future, taking into account the fitness of the body. Cyclic fasting can be harmful for certain diseases, for this reason, it is not recommended to start fasting uncontrollably.
