How to eat right on rest?
During vacations or holidays, we least of all think about the usefulness and harmfulness of food - we want to give our psyche a break from food abstinence or diets. And it is right. Rest should be comprehensive. But the abolition of the regulation in the consumption of harmful products, as a rule, ends with overeating and indigestion, that is, feeling unwell.
With our eyes we are able to "eat" a lot, but our digestive system can process a strictly limited amount of food in a certain period of time. What to do if you want to try all the dishes that you see, but your health does not allow it?
How to eat right on rest so that you don't end up in a hospital bed instead of rest? Divide your day mentally into four time slots. The first interval is in the morning until 11 o'clock (unless of course you got up at 11 in the morning!) - during this period of time you can try all high-calorie dishes. If you are planning to take a long break before your next meal, such as going on a long excursion, you can include meat dishes, mushrooms and legumes in your diet, as these foods take a long time to digest. But if you have a second snack in three to four hours (second time slot), then leave these foods for him. A light breakfast on vacation is a fast coming hunger.
The third time interval (between three o'clock in the afternoon and seven - eight o'clock in the evening) is the time for soups and vegetable side dishes, you can try as many soups (meat and vegetable) and vegetable side dishes as you like, and the digestive tract will be grateful to you.
The fourth time period will drag on until the night (before bedtime). During this period, eat fruits in any quantity, they will help activate healthy intestinal motility in the morning, and, therefore, will free up space for you for your next adventures with food. Do not eat meat dishes closer to night, they make digestion harder and overload the intestines, causing putrefaction processes.
During the whole day, do not forget to drink ... not alcohol, but plain water! Do not drink carbonated drinks, they provoke flatulence and put you in an awkward position in the middle of the trip. Always prefer the fruit from which it is made to juice - this will rid you of excess sugar and fill the intestines with fiber, which is very necessary for the evacuation of unused “grocery delights”.
