Constant hunger - why?
Scientist - biologist Pavlov established the fact that the feeling of hunger and the feeling of satiety can be caused by stimulating certain areas of the brain. It is not a full or empty stomach that signals the brain about hunger or satiety, but the amount of useful elements in the bloodstream. Simply put, the feeling of hunger, like the feeling of satiety, is in our heads.
A person can experience a slight feeling of hunger quite often - this is how the body responds to the absence of glucose in the blood or a lack of fluid. Rare and low-calorie food causes hunger sensations. This is considered a normal state of the body. Mild hunger can be overcome by drinking a glass of water or eating a fruit or vegetable.
But most often, most people suffer from severe bouts of hunger, when they want to eat continuously, and even when they seem to have recently taken food. Such an obsessive feeling of hunger indicates a violation of the diet, about indiscriminate snacks, which have developed the habit of chewing something continuously.
How does the habit of constantly feeling hunger develop?
Very often we make us feel hungry by looking at food or watching other people eat. The bad habit of eating while watching TV, reading a book or playing a computer game distracts attention from the process of absorbing food, but develops the instinct to consume food at such moments. That is, without them, a person simply cannot concentrate on reading or watching until he starts eating. In moments of ordinary idleness, when the brain is not busy with work, it can preoccupy itself with thinking about food, which causes another attack of hunger.
Of course, basic malnutrition can cause frequent bouts of hunger.
To overcome the continuous feeling of hunger during the day, you need to develop an optimal diet for yourself and adhere to it, regardless of whether you feel like eating at other times or not. Gradually, reflexes will return to normal, and the body will begin to send signals of hunger at the appointed time.
