Health for a lifetime >>>> The road to obesity
The road to obesity.
Obesity problems got in the way of humanity in that period of life, when it moved from hungry survival in the wild to the habitual, daily consumption of food, for the extraction of which there was no need to make excessive efforts. Of course, in some countries the problem of hunger has not yet been sufficiently resolved, and people lead a semi-starving lifestyle, but in countries with an acceptable standard of living, the problems of obesity are in line with other health problems, more precisely, with diseases that lead to fatal outcomes.
The availability of food products without the expenditure of energy for their production has led to the fact that the need for a natural mechanism of adipose tissue deposition conceived by nature for its subsequent consumption during the heating period when the temperature changes or in case of insufficient food intake during the hungry period of life has undergone significant changes. Such reserves of fat are useless for a person in modern life: one can warm up in other ways, and breaks in meals have been reduced from several days to several hours. But how to rebuild an organism that is programmed to be thrifty?
The problem lies in the degree of control over the quantity and quality of food consumed. Most people do not even suspect that their bodies are replenished with additional body fat every day.
- Firstly, a person switched from cooking food over a fire to its other culinary processing (frying in containers). This led to the fact that the dishes became less lean.
- Secondly, the intensity of physical activity during a person's life has decreased, with the exception of some types of work and sports.
- Thirdly, the focus on food absorption was replaced by its focus on other activities at the time of eating (work, watching TV, talking, reading newspapers or books, and so on), which led to a situation where a person does not control how much he absorbs food.
- Fourthly, the increased emotional stress in modern life forces the nervous system to work with increased strength and require an increase in food intake, but at the same time, an excessively excited state of a person at a time of stress scatters his attention and leads to uncontrolled absorption of food.
- Fifth, not treated on time, neglected diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the endocrine system, the nervous system lead to disruptions in the processes of utilization of food by the body and create conditions for the improper distribution of consumed substances, in particular fats and carbohydrates.
To slow down the development of obesity, it is necessary to take into account the above-mentioned features of modern human life and be very attentive to the volume and quality of the chosen diet.
