Diet on the eve of the holiday
On holidays, there is always a risk of gorging yourself and disrupting all types of diets that you have carefully adhered to for months, or, in extreme cases, ruining your gastrointestinal tract for the entire period of “post-holiday” days. Of course, it is almost impossible to refrain from eating dishes from the festive table - no willpower can withstand it. There are times when tasting dishes from the festive table is a sign of good manners towards the owner or mistress of the house, who prepared the menu for the holiday, and you cannot refuse. How to correlate dietary nutrition with a festive feast?
Willpower must be trained not during a festive feast with delicious dishes, but in advance, a few days before the start of the festive meal. Experts - nutritionists, reflecting on this topic, came to the conclusion: in order to calmly try holiday dishes without "consequences" for the body, it is necessary to refrain from goodies not during the holiday, but keep a diet on the eve of the holiday.
A few healthy dietary dishes before the start of the festive feast will allow you to indulge in nothing at the festive table. Three days (or a week) before the festive feast, it is necessary to review the daily menu in favor of light meals that support and cleanse the intestines:
- introduce soups into the diet as a mandatory daily meal;
- switch from fried meat and fish to boiled, steamed or stewed meat and fish;
- fried eggs replace with boiled eggs or steam omelet;
- instead of smoked meat or fish, use raw vegetables (for example, cucumbers, peppers or tomatoes) or boiled vegetables (for example, carrots, zucchini or beets) without oil, but with kefir;
- temporarily abandon chips, salty and sweet nuts, dried fish and seafood in favor of future holiday dishes;
- leave onions, garlic and spicy greens alone until the start of the holidays;
- pickled vegetables must be replaced with pickled ones;
- replace cheeses of various types with cottage cheese;
- sweets of any kind (pastries, confectionery, cookies, pastries and cakes, creams, marshmallows, marmalade, etc.) should be replaced with fruit salads from sweet fruits and berries;
- replace sweet drinks (lemonade, sweet juices, cocktails) with green, black or chamomile tea without added sugar;
- sugar in its pure form (sand, lump, caramelized) should be excluded from food for several pre-holiday days;
- forget about alcohol for a few days - this is also sugar, but in a different dimension!
Such a corrective diet before the start of the holiday will help to avoid nutritional problems and disruption of the intestines during the festive feast. It is not necessary to exhaust yourself for the holidays by abstaining from delicious dishes - it is enough to take control of the diet before the start of the festive feasts.
