How often hair is washed according to the rules?

Washing your hair is not a rare topic of discussion, as this process always involves a lot of time drying your hair, especially when it comes to long hair, which is relevant today for both women and men. But it is the length of the hair that gives out their rapid pollution, that is, the shorter the hair, the more visible the signs of oily content on them, and the longer the hair, the less noticeable the dirt.

Most of the hair is contaminated from external sources - dust, soot from smog, the polluted atmosphere of the production in which a person works. But all these factors are not as visible on the hair as fatty deposits - a natural lubricant (sebum) that fixes all particles falling on the hair and gives the hair a shiny look.

There are no the same rules for washing hair for all occasions, but there is a pattern that allows you to track the time of hair pollution - their visible pollution, and with this in mind, distribute the days for washing your hair.

The dirtiest and dirtiest jobs, which are associated with the rapid contamination of the hair, are the dusty working atmosphere and high physical exertion on the body, in which increased sweating and fat secretion begins, which leads the hair to an unsightly "icicle" appearance. Such work involves construction and repairs, street work, sports, harvesting, laboratories and workshops for the manufacture and processing of materials.

The hot and stuffy atmosphere of the room, albeit sterile, is always associated with profuse sweating and fat secretion of the skin, including the scalp, which is responsible for the cleanliness of the hair.

Hormonal disruptions or periods of hormonal formation of the body are always accompanied by increased work of the sebaceous glands.

Stressful situations are often thrown into sweat, which also affects the cleanliness of the hair. So sitting in a clean office, but in daily stress, you can be prepared for the fact that your hair will look greasy.

And the scalp has a peculiarity - it always reacts with increased fat secretion when washing the head and hair with hot water, that is, the hotter the water, the stronger the sebaceous and sweat glands work as a compensatory mechanism, trying to cool and restore at the same time the natural fatty lubrication of the skin. Thus, the more often the head and hair are washed with hot water, the sooner they will be "salted".

But greasy hair is not only the result of excessive sweating and reactions to temperature conditions. The love of eating fatty and spicy foods stimulates the formation of fat and the work of the sebaceous glands. If the skin is excessively oily, it is easy to check by washing with soap and after half an hour after running a paper napkin over the skin - there are greasy spots on the napkin, then the sebaceous glands are overly stimulated, and you will need to take a closer look at nutrition - exclude from the diet everything that is excessively fatty: sausage, sausages, chips, fries, pork, lamb, fatty dairy products, sweets (which also stimulate fat production), hot drinks.

You should not visit the bathhouse (sauna) and swim in a full bath (only in the shower) if you have a tendency to excessive oily skin.

So it is worth fighting for the cleanliness of the hair, for the rare washing of hair, taking into account all the listed factors of their pollution and gradually getting rid of them: switch to a low-fat diet, reduce physical activity, be less nervous, correct the hormonal surge with an endocrinologist, and more often at dirty work ventilate the room and wear protective dust caps (hats, berets, kerchiefs).

To accustom the scalp glands to moderation, you need to wash your hair and hair less often and keep the water temperature warm, not hot.

Initially when washing your hair less, the appearance of your hair will be unsightly. That is, when switching from daily washing to washing twice a week, the head will look dirty every day, except for the day of washing. After a month of such a regime, the sebaceous glands will get used to the situation and will begin to withstand the rhythm of washing. Further, it is worth switching to the washing regimen once a week - this is the best option, and you will also have to get used to it within a month, having on some days a not very attractive appearance of the hair. For these cases, in order not to lose gloss and not look sloppy, you can use dry hair shampoo.

After a few months, the sebaceous glands will adapt to the new shampooing regime and will work in a normal rhythm, and the head can be washed once every 10 days, but not less often, since hair hygiene still needs to be observed.
