Carving styling - what is it?
Hair carving is a long-term styling of hair into a hairstyle. Carving is an alternative solution to perm, but provided that the hair is not damaged throughout its structure, but only the surface scales are deformed, holding the styling.
Carving styling lasts two months, and it can be renewed once every three months without the risk of hair damage (unlike a perm, which lasts a year, but the hair is chemically deformed thoroughly).
Hair carving is carried out as follows:
- Hair is washed and dried with a towel,
- Hair is wound on curlers of the required thickness,
- The composition is applied to the hair wound on curlers (the procedure for applying the composition should be studied in the instructions for a specific carving product),
- Withstand the means for fixing the styling according to the instructions (it usually takes about 10 - 20 minutes) and rinse off the substance,
- Hair dry with a hairdryer,
- After a few days, the styled hair can be dyed or bleached, but you should not rush to carving, if you dyed your hair only a week ago, the dye may creep away with spots.
Carving styling can be simulated using curlers (bobbins and carvers) of various thicknesses and changing the thickness of the strands. Carving is done on hair of any length, which allows you to wind curlers.
Carving with spiral curlers for short and medium hair is called vertical curling. Carving can be done not for the entire length of the hair, and then the styling will resemble the natural waviness of the hair.
Carving looks good both in everyday life and as a festive hairstyle - it is a versatile hair styling.
