Herbal medicine for hair.
Hair worn out by frequent chemical dyeing needs a break. But what to do if staining is still necessary. It is possible to combine hair therapy and coloring in one moment - hair coloring with natural plant dyes.
Nature itself has created many plants that people have used since ancient times for dyeing hair. It's all about choosing a color that matches your hair tone.
Plants that give light and golden hues are suitable for blonde hair. Rhubarb root will give your hair a light honey tint, chamomile will lighten and yellow your hair. Light onion peel will give the hair a reddish appearance. Darker shades of onion skins will act as tint dyes. Saffron will add a golden hue to light and red hair. A reddish copper tint gives the color of calendula. A fiery hue will appear if you tint your hair with an infusion of red hibiscus flowers.
It is good to tint dark hair with rosemary leaves, St. John's wort, chestnut.
A plum shade will give your hair an infusion of elderberry berries, and you can become a brunette with the help of a walnut shell. Darken hair with sage.
Many are faced with the problem of natural dyeing, having no idea how to prepare such a hair dye at home.
The recipe is very simple, but the problem lies in the supply of the corresponding plant, leaves, roots, stems, flowers or berries that you are going to use. It is worth worrying about these reserves in advance, collecting the necessary plants in the summer, drying them and storing them in cloth bags until the right moment.
An infusion is prepared from the dried plant: infuse two or three tablespoons of dry material in a glass of boiling water for three hours. The volumes of water should correspond to the size of the scalp, so that you can completely dip all hair in the infusion several times and keep it there for several minutes. Do not forget to filter the infusion through a fine sieve, otherwise plant residues will clog into the hair. If there is no small strainer in everyday life, use an ordinary strainer or colander, covered with gauze folded four times. Staining with herbal infusions requires a reusable approach - after each shampooing. Fix the color by rinsing the hair with a vinegar solution: a teaspoon of 9% vinegar per three liters of water. In addition to fixing the color, vinegar will give your hair a shine.
