Brain health.
The brain is the organ that we use every second, and it is the organ that we almost never worry about the health of. Only if someone from the outside does not turn our attention to problems with the head!
Agree, who will think to go to the doctor with the request: "Heal my brain", or "Let's check the work of my brain for preventive purposes." But the work of the brain is the key to our conscious life, productive work, satisfaction from entertainment. Who needs brain malfunctions, which will lead to uncontrolled behavior of ourselves and the inability to correctly assess our own actions.
There are many factors that can cause disturbances in the functioning of the brain:
- these are toxic lesions provoked by the intake of substandard or overdose drugs,
- it is a harmful atmosphere of the environment and production,
- these are foodstuffs infected with parasites, bacteria or fungi,
- it is poor blood clotting,
- these are viral infections moving along neural circuits, bloodstream and able to get to the brain.
There are many more reasons for the brain to leave the working state, but one of the reasons is a very strong and invisible at first glance destroyer of the work of our brain - this is stress.
Considering that the brain itself is the epicenter of stress in our body, we sometimes do not realize that the duration of our stressful state largely depends on the type of our nervous system and on our self-control over its work. If we cannot change the type of the nervous system, then it is quite possible to control the duration of the stress state.
The longer stress lasts, the more damage it causes to the work of the brain:
- at this moment we are not able to concentrate on any business - attention becomes scattered, and frequent scattering leads to a decrease in the very ability of the brain to concentrate, it begins to be in a state of wandering;
- part of the nerve cells dies, and with them part of the information that we once tried to remember also perishes - this is how gaps in memory are born;
- convulsive throwing of thoughts during stress does not allow the brain to process incoming information in the correct order, which leads to impaired perception of reality, and behind this lies the beginning of inadequacy;
- prolonged stress does not allow the brain to sleep (turn off completely), and as a result, insomnia is born, which in turn gives rise to problems not only with the nervous system, but also with the proper functioning of all other systems in the body.
As a result, the brain exhausted by stress begins to let us down:
- we forget the necessary information,
- we misunderstand what is happening around us,
- we cannot "control ourselves",
- nervous for insignificant reasons,
- do not sleep at night,
- we see terrible dreams that spoil the mood,
- we become suspicious, irritable and aggressive,
- as a result, we lose friends, family, jobs.
This is the result of a neglect of brain health, which should be taken into account and not let stress kill you. After all, our brain is us.
